Obituary of Mary Harper Hall

Mary Harper Hall, age 88 of Lakeville, MN, passed away on Friday, July 19,2024 in her home with her family by her side after a brief battle with cancer.

She is preceded in death by her parents William and Genevieve Harper and her loving husband Howard.

Mary is survived by her children Steven (Pam), Stuart (Connie), and Jennifer (Patti) and by her grandchildren Mitchell (fiancée Lauren Hennen), Jordan (Katie), Madeline (Grant) Seymour, and Ashley (Adrián).

She was born in St. Louis, MO in 1936 and lived there until attending the University of Missouri where she earned her bachelor's degree in education and met her future husband, Howard. They moved from Missouri to Illinois and eventually landed in Burnsville, MN where they resided for over 40 years.

Mary was known for her volunteerism, having given her time to numerous organizations over the years. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, knitting, reading books, playing cards and watching sports. She was a big fan of the Mizzou Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals, and the MN Twins and Vikings. She also loved to travel, having taken trips abroad in her youth, and many memorable vacations with her family, especially her grandchildren. Family was always first, as she hosted many gatherings and organized outings for us to spend time together. She will be remembered for her generous nature, positive outlook and her amazing chocolate chip cookies.
