Obituary of Greg Wedin
Greg Wedin
September 3rd, 1956 - July 19th, 2024
A true man of the midwest, born in Minneapolis and growing up in Crystal MN, Greg went on to become an Electrician. With a long career across the country, he was a proud member of IBEW Local 292. His true passion in life was helping family, friends, and strangers with various house projects ranging from electrical work, carpentry, gardening, cars, and any other handyman tasks one could think of. There was literally nothing Greg could not fix.
Settling in Champlin, he loved his wife Noreen and boys, Max and Jake. A family man first, he made sure they were always taken care of in every way possible by putting their needs ahead of his.
Greg enjoyed the outdoors. He loved getting out on the boat and catching fish, walks in the woods, golf, motorcycle rides, cooking, and simply sitting out in front of the house with a cold beer and a 50-year-old lawn chair would be a perfect evening for him. He also had a passion for sports and enjoyed volunteering his free time to become head coach for every sport Max and Jake were involved in, spanning many years.
Greg passed away peacefully at his home. He is preceded in death by his parents Norman and Florence, sister Marilou, nephew Nathan, and brother Gordon. He is survived by his beloved wife Noreen, sons Max and Jake and daughter in law Sarah, Brother Jim and sisters Marge, Marcia, Norma, and countless family and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 17th at the Osseo American Legion from 1-4pm
