Obituary of Mark Alan Urban

Urban, Mark Alan, M.D., age 64, of Edina, MN, passed away on July 6th after a brave battle with cancer. Mark had a fulfilling career as an orthopedic surgeon with Twin Cities Orthopedics for over 30 years. Mark continued helping people as a pillar in the church community, where he served in many capacities. He dedicated his time and knowledge to leading Bible studies and mentoring. Mark was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lois Urban. Survived by his loving wife, Jeanne, stepmom, Kate (Scott), and siblings, James (Sharon), Barbara (Donald), Michael (Danita), David (Joan), Bruce (Jean), and John (Kristin). Mark was a loving father to his children, Chris, Peter (Miki), Lois, and stepfather to Katie (Evan), and Jeff. He was a proud grandfather to his granddaughter, Brooke. Mark is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A service will be held honoring Mark on July 16th at River Valley Church 10801 Red Cir Dr, Minnetonka, MN 55343. Visitation will start at 1pm and the service at 2pm.
