Obituary of Mavis June Ault

Mavis June Ault went to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of June 3rd, 2024, one day after her 91st birthday where she had been surrounded and celebrated by her family.

She used her degree to teach at Fargo High School until they moved to St Paul and began to raise their family.

She later taught in the Hopkins School System for many years, eventually teaching in Small School, an alternative high school program that was located in Eisenhower High School and was unique to its  time. She truly enjoyed those years and each of the students she there as well as the students she taught throughout the years. . She finished her career teaching at the Hennepin County Home School.

Mavis was known as a gifted seamstress and antiquer. She loved rhubarb and had a great recipe for pie, a sauce, and a cake- all thoroughly enjoyed by family and friends. She was known for her energetic life and for being active up until the past few years. She enjoyed playing tennis and golf, skiing, yoga, walking and traveling, which made her and Jim such a great couple because they spent time doing a lot of these activities together.

They both were passionate about traveling and shared many of their travels with their dear friends. Trips that took them all over Europe, as well as to China, Israel, Egypt, Croatia and many places in America.

Mavis especially enjoyed a close relationship with her children and grand children and  was very dedicated, supportive and involved in each of their lives, and in turn, was dearly loved by each of them. She always found the time to be at their sporting events, dance performances, plays and more.
