Obituary of Vicky Irene Linskie

Vicky I. Linskie, age 68, of Duluth, MN died peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital on June 21, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born May 16, 1956 to Gary and Hope Sathers. She attended Denfeld High School. Throughout her life, she enjoyed bowling at Stadium Lanes where she made many lifelong friends. She was a fierce Bingo player and would go out of her way to play a game. Some of her favorite things were her Beanie Babies collection, Elvis Presley collection and her beloved Coca-Cola collection.

She was a very passionate mother & grandmother who spent her winters in a hockey rink and her summers on the softball field. She was always there cheering everyone on, whether it was at the hockey games, football games or at the softball field. Family Christmas was always the highlight of the year for her, a passion she inherited from her mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Vicky is survived by her loving children, Mickey (Dana) Peterson, Chad (Melissa) Thompson, Heather (Bruce) Jacobson and Stacy (Aaron) Petersen; siblings, sisters DeeAnn (Dan) Doran, Michelle (Leonard) Lovold; brother, Lauren Sathers; grandchildren, Austin (Sophi), Caden and Baylie (Rory) Peterson; Dylan (Sydney), Joel, and Bella Thompson; Morgan, Alyssa and Johnathon Petersen and Michael, Michelle, and Ben Jacobson, and her first great grandson due in November; and many nieces, nephews and good friends.

Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Hank’s Sports Bar, 1306 MN Hwy 45, in Scanlon, MN.
