Obituary of Willacy Alfred Lord Jr.

This party’s over. 

And with that he joined his buddies at the RCC big round table in the sky on June 21st, 2024.

Willacy Alfred Lord, Jr was born to Willacy and Agnes (Persgard) Lord on Sept 5, 1932.

He graduated from Duluth Central and was a member of the 1950 State Championship Team and attended UMD. He served in the Air National Guard and the USAF during the Korean War being stationed in both Japan and Korea. 

He worked for 35yrs at CIBA Pharmaceutical and then for 20yrs for his good friend Gordy Seitz at Northern Engine. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed many happy years as a very active member at Ridgeview Country Club.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Trudy, and his brother Jim. Bill is survived by his wife of 69yrs Judy, his daughter Terry (Skip) Bronniche, sons Scott (Peggy) and Bill (Jennie) Lord, his grandchildren Bill (Val) Bronniche, Jessie (Andy) Westlund, Alex (Gabby) Lord, and Will, Nate, and Matt Lord and nine great grandchildren and sisters in law Marian Sundal and Bette Naslund.

Private family services at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery on July 3rd at 3pm. Friends are invited to gather at Ridgeview shortly after.
