Obituary of Lizette Maureen Harty

Lizette Maureen Harty (Larson) May 19, 1960- June 4, 2024 - age 64

Liz is known for her fierce love of her family.

She was a high school graduate from Proctor and was an excellent employee at many companies. She worked for MN Power and Light for about two decades, and spent many years as a call center lead at Superior Water Light & Power.

Her sense of humor, stubbornness, and compassion made her the best balanced friend, daughter, sister, mother, grandma, and great grandma. Her smile was vibrant and contagious.

Liz loved roller coasters, the wind, playing cards, grilling on the deck, gardening, cooking, and eating with family and friends. She was a great listener and planner.

For many years, and especially the final years, she was battling a rare lung and heart disease that made her fight for every breath she took. Throughout those times she never complained or felt sorry for herself. She always focused on others and tended to those who were closest to her.

Her kindness, generosity, and fierce love will live on through those who knew her, because Liz’s strength empowered everyone around her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Allen Larson.

Liz is survived by her mother JoAnn Larson, daughters Amy and Kyra, granddaughter Mackenzie, great granddaughter Emma, and brother Tim (Dawn) Larson.

She is greatly missed.
