Obituary of Dennis William Lash
Dennis W Lash, 75, friend to all, and curious about everything until the end, Dennis Lash died June 13, 2024. He was born in Minneapolis, attended Roosevelt High School, and served in Vietnam. Dennis spent 52 years as one of the busiest housing inspectors in the metro area and was happily married to Anne (Wetschka) Lash since 1990.
Dennis owned just about every tool on Earth and was always willing to put them to work for any neighbor, friend, or passerby who needed help. He met thousands of people through his work and came home nearly every evening with an interesting story or two about someone he met that day.
You had to keep your eyes open around Dennis because he loved a practical joke. He was famous for his Thanksgiving Eve Turkey Fry, his tan uniform shirts, and his love of family.
Preceding him in death were his parents, William, Martha, and stepmother Hazel, and his first wife, Nancy. Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Anne; daughters, Karissa Lash and Carly MacKenzie (Cory); siblings, Donald (Cindy), Rose, and Roxanne Cason (Joel); two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother-in-law MaryAnne Wetschka; many sisters and brothers-in-law from the Wetschka family; nieces and nephews who loved him dearly, especially Russ Underhill.
A military burial ceremony will be held at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials- donor's choice.
