Long-time Bloomington, MN resident, Beatrice “Betty” (Vetsch) Kent, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024 at age 83. The youngest of eight girls, Betty was born in Rugby, ND on March 4, 1941 to Hedwig and Peter Vetsch. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and volunteering by delivering meals to the elderly and those less fortunate. Betty is survived by husband of 62 years Eugene Kent, children Steven Kent, Daniel (Roxanne) Kent, David (Stephenie) Kent, Gary (Ann) Kent, and Karen (Kevin) Kent Hanson, plus several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Betty's life will be celebrated with a service at Saint Joan of Arc Church (4537 Third Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55419) on Saturday, June 22 at 2:00pm, preceded by a visitation beginning at 1:00pm.
