Obituary of Luanne Kay Curtis

Luanne “Lu” Kay Curtis (nee Doelz), 64, of Minneapolis, Minnesota passed away on April 23, 2024. She was born on July 19, 1959. Luanne was a former teacher who dedicated many years to sharing her love of reading and education. She also found great joy in raising her two children. She was known for her generosity, love, and thoughtfulness. Lu enjoyed volunteering, photography, music, and most of all, spending time with her children. Luanne is survived by her brother, Patrick Doelz, her two children, Hannah (Andrew) and Jack Curtis, and many loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Doelz, father, Arthur Doelz, and brother, Michael Doelz. A visitation will be held at 1:30 pm with a 2 pm funeral to follow on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Forest Lake, Minnesota to honor and remember Lu’s life. She will be missed by many. May she rest in peace.
