Obituary of Joseph Drutschmann

In Loving Memory of Joseph Drutschmann

 

Joseph Drutschmann, aged 83, peacefully passed away on April 25, 2024, surrounded by beloved family and friends. He departed this world with grace and dignity, leaving behind a legacy of helping neighbors, supporting family, and working long days to provide for his loved ones.

Born on March 31st, 1941, in Redwood, Minnesota, Joe's life was a testament to hard work and dedication. Growing up in Stillwater, MN, on his family farm, he learned the value of community and service. At the age of 17, he enlisted in the United States Army, demonstrating his commitment to duty and honor.

 

In 1964, Joe married his beautiful wife Aggie, and together they raised their three children, Michelle, Diane, and Joseph, in St. Paul, Minnesota, before settling in Lindstrom, MN, in 1976. He dedicated many years of hard work to his career at 3M Corporation, ensuring his family's well-being.

Joe's kindness and generosity touched the hearts of all who knew him, leaving an indelible mark on the world. He is survived by his devoted wife, Aggie Drutschmann, his loving children Michelle (Doug) Stanford and Joseph (Liz) Drutschmann, and his cherished grandchildren Andy Drutschmann Johnson, Zep Elkerton, Elijah Elkerton, Emma Stanford, Joseph V. Drutschmann, Lacey Stanford as well as many nieces and nephews. Additionally, many others are considered  part of Aggie and Joe's extended family, as they opened their house and hearts to countless individuals.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Helene Drutschmann, his daughter Diane Elkerton (Todd), brother Bernhard Drutschmann, sister Anna Crain, and sister Elizabeth Dullum.  He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend to many. A special thanks to St. Croix Hospice for their care and love.

 

A celebration of Joseph's life will be held at Aggie and Joe’s home on Saturday,  June 29th, from 12 to 4 PM at 27410 Quinlan Ave, Lindstrom, MN 55045.  An Honor Guard Burial at Fort Snelling will take place on July 1st.
