Obituary of Gerald Kenneth Berg

Gerald “Jerry” Kenneth Berg, age 86, passed away on March 27th, 2024, at Woodbury Senior Living, while in Hospice Care, surrounded by his family.

Jerry was born on February 18th, 1938, in Saint Paul, MN.

Preceded in death by his wife, true love, and soulmate, Judith; his parents, Vernon and Eleanor Berg; brother, Jack Berg; sister Judith Anderson and brother-in-law, Gary McGahuey.

Remembered with love by his admiring daughters, Denise (Myke) Breon and Dianne (John) Neidermeier; Grandchildren, Brendan (Heather) Neidermeier, Brianne (Ben) Praster, Alyssa (Rick) Spear, and Dominick Breon; Great Grandchildren, Kennedy, Everett, Carson, Quinn, and Hadley; brother, James (Carol) Berg; Judy’s siblings, Clarine McGahuey, Elsie (Frank) Urman, Darlene (Tom) Drompp, Allen (Debi) Sohlo; cousin and great friend, Sandy Schwartzbauer, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jerry had a passion for fishing, a love for travel, and kept busy at his lake home after a long career at 3M; but his true adoration was for those around him--Jerry will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandpa, great grandpa, wonderful friend, terrific role model, helpful neighbor, and one of the kindest men to ever walk the earth.

Memorial service will be on Saturday, May 4th, 2024, Visitation at 10:00 A.M. and Memorial Service at 11:00, at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 1979 Old Hudson Rd., St. Paul, MN 55119.
