Obituary of Kristine Kay Olson
Kristine Kay Olson, born February 26th, 1964, entered into the loving family of her parents, Don and Carol Olson.
Kris grew up loving sports. They were a major focus of her life. She played varsity basketball and softball at Concordia Academy and varsity softball at Concordia College where she earned her bachelors in education.
Kris was a favorite aunt to 3 nieces and 9 nephews. She was quick to support them all in their sporting events, concerts, plays, and graduations. She also enjoyed playing cards, and going fishing with family and friends. She loved sending meals she made to her parents and watching Survivor with her sister.
Kris spent a lifetime serving those with special needs. With her genuine concern for others, it was a natural fit. She began her career as a case worker, working her way up to a management position. Most recently, she worked as a para at New Richmond Elementary School, WI. Although only there a short time, she made a lasting impression and was loved by students and staff alike.
If the measure of a person is in the friends they have or the lives they touch, Kris stood taller than most. Her quick wit and her funny sarcasm will be missed by all.
The Lord chose to bring Kristine home on April 2, 2024. She is survived by her parents: Don and Carol Olson. Her siblings: Ken Olson, Kurt (Carrie) Olson, Kathy (Tom) Edwards, Kari (Clint) Roepke, and her 12 nieces and nephews.
Visitation is on Saturday April 13, 2024 at St. John Lutheran Church 1975 St Johns Drive, Woodbury, MN at 10 AM, followed with funeral at 11 AM, lunch to follow service.
