Bradley Bjorklund

Obituary of Bradley James Bjorklund

Bradley James Bjorklund was born Dec 6, 1951 in Mpls to Jim and Peg. He spent his childhood in Bloomington where being one of the many kids in the neighborhood was some of the best years of his life. When he made a friend, that person was a friend for life. He graduated from Lincoln High School and went on to Hennepin County Tech where he learned his painting skills. He was self-employed, worked at Abbott Northwestern Hospital for 20 years and ended his work career at Lifetouch.
Brad and Ann Winchester were married in 1997 and had almost 30 years of great companionship and great love. We were one of those lucky couples that found each other.
His other great love was motorcycling. He was the happiest while riding a 2 lane road in the Teton Mountains, going thru Bear Tooth Pass or Chief Joseph Highway. He also loved to ride anywhere in Montana. He always said that there is a freedom you cannot describe until you ride a motorcycle. His other passions were duck hunting with his dad, turkey hunting with Sue and Dan and the MN Vikings. And going to Lake Mary in Alex; fishing, water skiing, chores around the cabin and in these later years just sitting on the deck until sunset was his favorite place to be.
Brad passed away on April 2, 2024. He had health struggles that he fought for a long time. He wanted to come home to see his dog Sterling ,,, he just went to a different home.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Peg, grandparents, brothers-in-law Patrick Meyer and Bruce Garay, mother-in-law Ardy, many aunts and uncles, and cousin Jan Ostlund. He is survived by wife Ann, sisters Becky Garay and Sue Meyer, nieces and nephews: Sara (Scott) Reindl, Mike Garay, Brian (Michelle) Garay, Dawn (Bryan) Stemmer, Dan (Brandy) Meyer, Kelly (Lee) Rincon, Ryan (Amanada) Winchester, many great nieces and nephews and brother-in-law/sister-in-law Scott and Laurie Winchester.
My Bradley will mostly be remembered for what a good person he was and what a good friend he was. His connection to family and friends meant everything to him. We all were lucky to have him in our lives. Now we will have our memories of him and be grateful for him making those memories with us.
