Obituary of Thomas John Stauduhar
Thomas John Stauduhar, 68, of Duluth, passed away peacefully at home on May 17, 2016, surrounded by his loved ones.
Tom was the first child of Richard and Lois (Lonson) Stauduhar, born Aug. 31, 1947, in Richmond Calif.
The family returned to its roots in Duluth a few years later, where he lived for most of his life.
He was a longtime resident of West Duluth and a graduate of Denfeld High School. Afterwards, he spent many years working in the commissary at the former Duluth Air Force Base, before joining the maintenance staff at Duluth City Hall, where he served until his retirement. He will be remembered by his friends, family, and co-workers for his great love of Minnesota sports teams and as a fierce competitor in his favorite card game, cribbage.
Tom was preceded in death by his daughter, Felicia; and his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Swenson); his daughter, Lisa; his children's mother, Phyllis Campbell; and grandson, Ryan, all of Duluth. He will be greatly missed by his eight younger brothers and sisters, including Frances (Kevin) Hoene, and Charles (Inge Maskun) of Duluth; Susan (John) Jordan of Spokane, Wash.; Philip of Apple Valley, Minn.; Elizabeth (Steven) Goff of River Falls, Wis.; William (Karolee) of Atlanta, Ga.; Jerome of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Christine of Novato, Calif.; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and other extended family members.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 10 a.m. to 12 Noon Monday, May 23, 2016, in the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth.
