Obituary of Greg Stewart

Greg Stewart passed away on March 14, 2024, at the age of 66. Greg was born in Midland, Michigan to Richard and Mary Stewart. He grew up in Midland, Ann Arbor, and Brookfield Wisconsin, where he graduated high school from Brookfield Central. Greg attended the University of Wisconsin - Madison and Ripon College and graduated with a degree in History. He received Master’s degrees in History, Electrical Engineering, and Education from UW Milwaukee. While history was his first passion, he also enjoyed music, playing bagpipes in a Scottish marching band and rivalling Nat King Cole on the piano. Always seeking to learn more, he toured museums across the country, was a voracious reader, and utilized his uncanny memory to develop an understanding of a variety of subjects. Greg worked for the Milwaukee Police Department and later the Milwaukee Public Schools, where he taught special needs students.

Greg is survived by his son Alec, his brother Scot (Jo), and sister Beth (Richard), and several nieces, nephews, and great nephews. We will miss him greatly. Services will be held in the future.
