Obituary of Douglas M. Sorensen

Douglas Sorensen passed away on March 8, 2024, in Maple Grove, MN at the age of 84.  He was born in Duluth, MN on June 27, 1939 to Edwin and Phyllis Sorensen.  He graduated from Askov High School in 1957 and went on to serve in the US Navy from 1958-1962.  He married Betty Claire Wahlquist, also of Askov on July 22, 1961 and they lived in Brooklyn Center, MN until 2021.  Douglas is survived by his wife Betty, sons; David (Geri), Steven (Ghou); grandsons; Daniel (Melissa), Matthew (Rachel); great-grandchildren; Ryan, Brian, Autumn and Brayden.  A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
