Obituary of Scott Robert MacIntyre
Scott Robert MacIntyre was born Sept. 15, 1974 in Duluth and passed away from a pulmonary embolism March 7, 2024 in Hibbing. He was a graduate of Hermantown High School. He moved to eastern Montana and worked for Northeast Montana Water Co until 2005 when he moved to Buhl, MN. He worked for Parks and Recreation for several years. His many health issues resulted in 14 surgeries on his feet and the last 10 years managing his pain. He was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in February.
Scott’s passion for fishing led him to explore many lakes on the Iron Range, mostly with his best friend Kevin. He also enjoyed sports on TV with hockey being his favorite. He humored his Mother by watching tennis with her and becoming a fan. His love for his family was constant and he bragged over – much about his big brother and two sisters. He had a soft heart for animals with cat rescue being something he cared deeply about, having rescued many during his life.
He will forever be remembered and missed by his loving family: his Mother Judy Houg, Brother Randy Luckow (Deb), Sisters Cindy Hanson and Wendy Dahl, Nieces Rebecca Warren, Katie and Whitney Hanson, Haley and Emily Dahl, Nephews Drew and Kyle Luckow, several Great Nephews and one Great Niece. He also leaves behind his beloved pet Brady the Wonder Cat.
He was preceded in death by his Maternal and Paternal Grandparents, his Father Robert MacIntyre and his Step-Father Robert Houg.
