Obituary of Monika Sheets

Monika Sheets, 73, passed away peacefully on March 4th, 2024. Monika was born in Lorbach-Herrnhaag on March 17th, 1950 to Johann and Johanna Schwinghammer. She met her soulmate, Patrick, in Germany while he was stationed there with the Army. They were married for 53 years until Patrick's passing in 2022. 

Monika's joy was being outside with her constant companion, April the Dachshund, loved her flower gardens and spent most of her time trying to make her yard the prettiest in the neighborhood. She was the sweetest and most generous woman, rarely complained and was always willing to listen to people who needed a compassionate ear to speak to.

Monika is survived by her sons, Andreas (Anna) and Stefhan (Kathrin), 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She's also survived by her brothers and sisters in Germany: Wilhelm "Willi" (Sigrid), Johann "Hanzi" (Ursula), Ingeborg, Johanna "Hanni", Robbie (Rosemarie), and Alois (Ursel). She is preceded in death by husband Patrick, son Tommy, and brother Karl-Heinz "Kalli".
