Obituary of Michael John "Mike" Reynolds

Michael John Reynolds, son of Merton L. and Erna Reynolds, was born in Pierre, South Dakota, on July 13, 1942.  Upon graduation  from Pierre High School, Mike moved with his parents to Stillwater, Minnesota and enrolled at the University of Wisconsin in River Falls.

After attending college, Mike began a long career with Northern States Power/Excel Energy working in the Accounting Department.  When he was not working, Mike spent countless hours in pursuit of his life-long interest in amateur radio.  He was a licensed ham operator assigned the call letters K0KJS.  He also enjoyed participating in events and volunteering at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Stillwater.  He especially enjoyed taking mission trips to the Caribbean with the church and did so several times subsequent to his retirement.  

Mike died peacefully on March 4, 2024.  He is survived by his sister Mary (John) Olson; niece Kirsten (Cory Schultz) Olson; nephews Mason and Bram Schultz; and a number of cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents and other extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Stillwater.

A private graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery later this spring.
