Obituary of Mary Helene Anderson

Mary Helene Anderson passed away peacefully, full of faith, unafraid, surrounded by family including all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren around noon on a 73 degree Sunday March 3, 2024. She was ready; after several years of declining health, her heart took its eternal rest. While all are sad to lose her here on earth, we're so glad and grateful to know we'll see her again in heaven.

Mary was born to Victor and Clara (Saupe) Anderson in Red Wing, MN. She raised her daughters and lived there most of her life, was a long-time member of First Lutheran Church, made many dear friends, volunteered often, and was a world-class grandma. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Marjorie, and her husband of 49 years, Donald.

She is survived by her daughters Lynn (John) Betcher, Sue (Ron) Santrach, grandchildren Anne (Jalaal) Madyun, Andrew Makredes, Kate (Adam) Bischoff, and Peter Makredes, and great-grandchildren Natalie, Michael, Kaiya and James.

Special thanks to her care team at Yorkshire of Edina who she grew to love in her final months, especially Alice, Dillyn, and Valerie. We're forever grateful.
