Obituary of Loretta Ella Houle

Age 82 of Forest Lake, MN passed away peacefully January 12, 2024. Proceeded in death by son James Schak, mother Jean Homberg, father Howard Urman and brother Dan Urman. Survived by son Ken Schak (Nancy), caring cousin Gin and many extended family and friends. Over her lifetime, Lorry was very active in the VFW and American Legion Auxiliary. She held multiple offices including president. She, along with fellow auxiliary members, held bake sales, garage sales, raffles and more, raising money for veterans. Lorry had an enormous sense of community. She spearheaded a Christmas Toy Program (The Needy Kids) in Forest Lake around 1980. For some 30 years or so, she made sure if a family was not able to buy gifts for their children, the program would provide. If you knew Lorry, you knew she made A LOT OF COOKIES that were enjoyed by many friends and family.
