Obituary of Marvin Ray Koski

Marvin Ray Koski, 80, of Duluth, Minn., went home on May 23, 2016. Marv was born April 3, 1936 in Gilbert, Minn. to Jenny and Matt Koski. He was a gardener, carpenter, born-again cat lover and cultivated a late-life passion for physical and spiritual renewal. He was preceded in death by brothers George and William, sister Sandra Salmi, as well as his parents. He was a devoted husband to his wife Janice for 62 years (and one day); and father to his seven children, Jess, Lori Tyllia, Janis Greene, Shari Williams, Luanne Johnson, and William, all of Duluth, and Michael, Deltona, Fla. He is also survived by brothers Melvin, Robert, and Michael; sisters Charlene Wanvick, Betty Grote, and Sue Watts; as well as 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. In the words of his favorite artist Hank Williams, "If the good Lord's willin' and the creeks don't rise, we'll see you again." There will be a private family memorial service.
