Obituary of Benjamin W McEvers IV

McEvers, Benjamin W, IV “BJ” “Ben” age 40, of Minnetonka, MN, died peacefully on January 28, 2024 in Edina, MN after a year-long fight against cancer.

BJ was born on August 26, 1983 in Edina, MN. He graduated from Bloomington Jefferson High School in 2001 and attended Normandale Jr. College. Ben was employed by Outback Steak House, Hazeltine National Golf Club, Apple Auto and Metropolitan Ford. He loved cooking, watching the Vikings, Wild and Twins with his friends and was an avid golfer. One of his favorite places to go was Siesta Key, Florida with its beautiful white sand beaches.

He is survived by parents, Benjamin McEvers III and Paula McFarland McEvers, sister, Laurel McEvers, and niece, Circe Johnson along with extended family members and many friends.

He was fiercely loved and will be deeply missed by family, friends and Zoey, the family parrot.

A Celebration of Life will take place on June 15th from 2–5pm at the Normandale Lake Bandshell.

Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society or to his parents for his Celebration of Life.
