Obituary of Terry Margaret Crichton
Terry Margaret Crichton, 82, died Sunday, January 28 with her family by her side. Terry was born and raised in Evanston, Illinois to a family with extensive roots in the Chicago area. She moved to Minnesota to attend Macalaster College and stayed for the remainder of her life. Terry had a highly successful corporate career in Human Resources, working in management positions for pioneering companies in the computer industry, including Control Data. She raised three children on her own until marrying the love of her life, Charles (Charlie) Crichton, and moved to Burnsville with him and her family in 1984.
Terry loved animals and raised many dogs and cats throughout her life, including her beloved Tyne and Brody. She enjoyed any body of water where she could swim, water ski, cruise on a boat, or simply sit on a beach and read a good book. Terry participated in many hobbies throughout her life, including piano playing, knitting, travel, and various volunteer activities including the Burnsville Rotary Club.
Terry is survived by her three children, Robert (Bob) Boekhoff and his wife, Caroline (Carrie), Ross Boekhoff and his wife, Melissa, Deborah Sterzing and her husband, Ingmar, eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie.
