Obituary of David John Krebs
David John Krebs, long time resident of the Duluth area, died Monday, May 30, 2016, after a short battle with cancer at the age of 60.
David was born in Virginia, on Sept. 3., 1955.
He grew up on Ely Lake and attended Eveleth High School. He later attended Mesabi Community College where he met Debbie and got married at the ripe old age of 20. After Mesabi, Dave continued his education at Regis College in Denver, Colo.
Dave loved fishing, hunting and basketball. His passion for the game of basketball earned him many accolades, including All-American honors. He shared his love of the outdoors with his brothers, friends and sons.
Dave was an extremely generous and caring person. His kind heart and good nature earned him many wonderful friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley; and his mother, Lois.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah; his sons, Matthew (Michelle), Michael (Maria), and daughter Claire; daughter/grandaughter, Hannah; grandsons, Vincent and Nathan; siblings, Stan (Karen), Jean (Kerry Santelli), JoAnne (Al Woldorf), James (Kim) and Ed; and many nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service on Friday, June 3, in Resurrection Church, 301 Adams Ave., Eveleth.
