Obituary of James Dean Ross
December 26, 1942- January 11, 2024
Proceeded in death by his parents Joyce and Georgia Ross Born in Motley, Mn in 1942, raised in Duluth. Jim had a lifelong love for hockey Glen Avon (peewee national champions), East high school, hockey state champions, Denver University hockey, A invitation to join the 1964 Olympic hockey team, and of course Senior hockey league “The Flying Hasbeens!” Jim also had a love for hunting, fishing, building things (including a beautiful cabin on Island Lake) but most of all the love for his family!
Jim worked for BNSF as a welder for 30+ years; Jack of all trades. Jim was fortunate to have traveled to different countries and road trips to national parks.
Survived by his wife of 57 years Susy Ross; Daughters, Sara (Evelyn and Ellen), Jessica (Luca); his sisters, Marvel (Jean-Pierre), Nancy (Jim); Brother-law, Hans Tronnes (Gail); and many Nieces and Nephews; Cousins, John Thomas and Sandy Bisig.

Celebration of life will be held on February 1st at 1:00 pm at Clyde Ironworks Duluth, Minnesota.
