Stanley “Stan” John Jacques

Stanley “Stan” John Jacques, age 78 of Watkins, MN, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Litchfield Eagles Club on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Stanley “Stan” Jacques, the son of Slyvester “Bus” and Elaine “Sis” (Schroeder) Jacques was born on April 13, 1945 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  After highschool, he joined the Army and was stationed in Germany.

On September 2, 1967, he married his loving wife of 56 years Susan Drury and they were blessed with two children. In 1975, they moved to their current home in Watkins, MN.

He retired after 30 years from BFI in Eden Prairie, MN. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, gardening, constantly maintaing his equipment, and passing on his vast knowledge to his children and grandchildren. 

He is survived by his wife Susan “Sue;” his son Bruce (Patti Jo) Jacques of Hector, MN and daughter Aimee (Greg) Hornburg of Litchfield, MN; grandchildren Jacob (Lindsey), Lucas (Jennessa), Emilee, and Zachery; 5 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters; Donald (Carol) Jacques, Sharon Cirspinski, Mark Jacques, Lynn (Tim) Diethelm, Dave (Julie) Jacques, Steve (Sue) Jacques; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as other bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Stan is proceeded in death by his parents Sylvester and Elaine and his in laws Clarence and Jeanne Drury.
