Peggy attended Luverne High School. After high school graduation she attended Hamline Auburn School of Nursing. After graduating from Hamline College Peggy married her high school sweetheart Arland (Swede) Anderson on August 24, 1957 in Luverne, Minnesota. She worked as a RN at Worthington City Hospital in Worthington, Minnesota and then moved to Mankato, Minnesota. Peggy then worked at Immanual Hospital as a Labor and Delivery nurse while Swede attended Mankato State College. Jane was born in Mankato. Her career of nursing brought her to North Memorial Hospital and the last 20 years of nursing she worked at the Minneapolis Memorial Blood Center. Peggy has said that the co-workers at the Blood Center have been the best of friends and support. She came out of retirement for a short time and worked seasonally giving flu immunizations.

Peggy's first home with Swede was in St Louis Park, Minnesota where David, Steven and Bruce were born. Peggy and Swede then moved to Bloomington, Minnesota where Peggy was busy with family activities for over 30 years. Peggy and Swede spent 16 years at their cabin at Lake Washburn in Outing, Minnesota which she enjoyed spending time with family and friends; boating, waterskiing (slaloming) fishing and bird watching. Peggy and Swede also moved to Plymouth, MN. After her retirement Peggy and Swede spent 10 winters in Destin, Florida meeting new friends and enjoying company that came to visit.

Church was important and Peggy felt at home at Normandale Hylands Methodist Church in Bloomington. She sang in the church choir, sang in a women's group called the Manor Tones in St Louis Park and joined a Snow Bird Choir in Destin, Florida. Peggy had a love of music; she played drums in her high school band and played piano, organ and guitar.

Peggy had a lot of hobbies; she enjoyed crocheting prayer shawls for the church. She was excellent at sewing, knitting and did many one of kind cross-stich pieces. She also loved to golf, watch the Mn Gopher Basketball team and the Mn Twins. Peggy enjoyed playing many different card games. She played Bridge for many years with different Bridge Groups and she also liked to play a little Black Jack. Peggy said her day was not complete unless she finished the daily cross-word puzzle.

Peggy has said that she was very lucky to have traveled all around the US and Europe.

Peggy was a daughter, sister, wife, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.
