Obituary of Deone (Dee) Pippert
Deone (Dee) Pippert, 92, of Glenwood, MN, passed away on 1/10/2024 surrounded by her loving family at her son’s residence in Monticello, MN.
She leaves four sons, Steve (Paula) of Toronto, Canada; Randy (Coleen) of Plymouth, MN; Doug of Medina, MN; John (Lori) of Monticello, MN and seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Deone was born on a farm near Herman, MN. Deone was united in Marriage to Wilbur (Pep) Pippert on July 8th, 1950, and moved to Johnson, MN and then moved to Nassau, MN in 1956.
While in Nassau, Deone enjoyed serving the community throughout multiple associations, including the Legion/Auxiliary, St. Paul Lutheran Church, and other varieties of groups. She contributed back to her community she so loved and supported.
Dee & Pep were excited to experience cabin life in Glenwood at Waska-Wood Resort for 30+ years. She became friends with so many of the summer residents and had dear friends/neighbors who were like family. Cards, food, finding treasures, socializing, and out fishing Pep and her boys on the pontoon, gave her immense joy.
During the winter months, Dee continued her socializing with Riverwood Villa residents. She always wanted to make sure everyone felt acknowledged and welcomed. Dee had such wonderful friends all looking out for each other.
In life, Deone enjoyed spending time with family, doing a variety of crafts, playing cards with friends and family, and being at the lake. Deone supported everyone she became acquainted with and always had a positive influence on people of all ages. Dee’s contagious smile and “How are you my dear?” question was sincere to everyone she talked to. She genuinely cared for each one of us and Deone will be dearly missed by all.
A private family service for Deone (Dee) will be held at the Cremation Society of MN with burial at Fort Snelling alongside Wilbur to follow. A Celebration of Life will be on a date in June in Glenwood, MN in which the family will schedule and provide information to her dear friends and family to come celebrate Dee and all her stories.
