I've only just learned about Herb's passing. He was a truly remarkable individual and I had some of the most in depth conversations that I have ever had, with him. I always referred to him as "The good Doctor". He was an inspiration in many ways. For one, his staunch refusal to get old and slow down. His favorite summertime activities were socializing and swimming at the lake near his home. And one of his favorite winter past times was ice skating on that same piece of water. Not a care in the world about anything negative anyone thought or said to or about him. But at the same time he was not afraid to step up and tell anyone exactly where they could stick their opinions. I got to know a good deal about Herb in the time that I knew him through doing restoration work on his beautiful home. We spoke about his travels in Europe and his childhood. The various businesses he started, and the many many people he met along the way. I definitely feel a pain of loss that he left us as soon as he did. I've added a couple pics of Herb in his favorite spot, his bedroom, festooned with blacklights and neon. I'll miss you Doc
