Dear Lois, I think you were my favorite aunt! First, of course, you married my mom's little brother Jack.
Second, though, because of my memories of you as you went toe-to-toe, unafraid, in teasing matches with my father, trading barbs with alacrity and good humor! It was such a joy to watch, even as a youngster who couldn't nearly keep up, but wished he could. Like him, you married into the Howard clan, and maybe that made the two of you kindred spirits.
While I was just a watcher from a distance, I'd like to think you're still fearlessly trading ripostes with my dad from an adjacent cloud, and that he's still enjoying it.
My prayers are with your family. May you rest in peace, well deserved!

Thank you Todd. I'm sure our current in-law outlaws can identify with your Dad's experience. I have fond memories of your parents as well. They all knew how to party. I was also the recipient of some gorgeous hand-me-downs from your mother when I was a skinny teenager, one that still fits, and special occasion pins to remember her by. She started my pin collection.
