Greg was my boss at Martin Luther. I was the first women driver he hired. He was one of my best bosses, kind of a big teddy bear kind of guy. I remember him training me to drive the bus as we drove around the Martin Luther neighborhood the first time. I was concentrating on one thing and he calmly states, "you know these are uncontrolled intersections don't you?"
He decided to retire right before a department audit, but I took over and it all worked out in the end. He had filled me in to take over some day, so it wasn't a sink or swim situation.
If I remember right he had 2 personal vehicles at the time - one for winter in which the heater worked, and one for summer in which the air conditioner worked.
I hope the years after I kept in touch were good ones for him, I considered him a good friend while I worked with him.
