Obituary of William Reed Randall
William “Bill” Reed Randall, 84, of Eagan, Minnesota, and formerly of North Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, died Saturday, December 9, 2023, in the Veterans Administration hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, due to complications from congestive heart failure. He was born on January 30, 1939, in Cadott, Wisconsin, a son of Lester and Clarissa (Munroe) Randall.
Bill served in the United States Army from 1958 – 1961 with the US Army 510th Engineer Company, based in France. He was a machinist at Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, for 30 years. He was a member of the sheriff deputy reserves for Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. For many years Bill volunteered with wife Kathryn Randall for the Telephone Pioneers of America on community service projects. His favorite hobbies were story-telling and enjoying the company of family and friends while sharing gustatory experiences.
He is survived by two children, William (Christine) Randall Jr of Eagan, Minnesota, and Debra Randall of Eagan, Minnesota; and four grandchildren, Jacob, Sonia, Benjamin, and Jordan.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kathryn (Cummings) Randall; brother, Homer; sisters, Virginia, Marian (Veum), and Marjorie (Andersen).
