Obituary of Lisa Ann Duvall Broadston
Lisa Ann Duvall Broadston
Lisa was born on November 27, 1957 in Minneapolis, MN and passed away unexpectedly on June 8, 2016 in Biloxi, MS. Lisa loved the outdoors and was a true Minnesotan, she was an excellent fisherman, and could filet her limit of Walleye or Bass better than a pro. Lisa was an avid hunter and looked forward to the fall each year. As a teenager, Lisa was a successful indoor/outdoor speed skater competing both as a novice and professionally. She loved being on the open water in her boat and was an avid slalom waterskier and swimmer. During the winter months, Lisa would downhill ski, snowmobile, snowshoe and loved to ice fish. Lisa’s greatest love was for her many dogs and cats. She would rescue strays and care for them at any time at her own expense. She was a professional dog groomer and hunting dog (Bird-Dog) trainer for many years and could easily tame the wildest of animals. Lisa loved to garden and landscape and was willing to give of her time and energy to many projects. She had a hardy laugh that was very contagious and could easily spread to her sisters and bother.
Throughout her life there were many people God put in her path to help and assist her, those people were angels in disguise, thank you on behalf of Lisa for your love and kindness and efforts and expense. Although there are many of you whom we do not know and never will, Lisa’s family will always hold each of you in our hearts knowing that each of you helped her in your unique ways.
Lisa is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Duvall of Buffalo, Minnesota and her father, George, and her sister, Julie. Lisa is survived by her mother, Joan Broadston of Edina, her sister, Georgene Welch and children Emily Antolick (Welch) and husband Craig and Jessica Welch; her brother Lee S. Broadston and wife Rhonda and children Jayna Tuominen and husband Matthew, Alex, and Joseph; nieces Kristina Darcey, Michael Doyle, Jr, and Larisha Broadston.
