Obituary of Erica Anne Dively
Erica Anne Dively passed away unexpectedly on November 26th, 2023, in her home in White Bear Lake, MN. Our family is devastated and shocked by this loss. Erica was born to parents Emory Kevin and Cynthia Anne Dively on May 28, 1983, in Rochester, New York.
Erica was a loving mother to her son Josiah (14) and committed her life to being the best mother she could be. She often spoke of her son’s achievements with great pride. She was an enthusiastic aunt to her two nieces and one nephew: Analyse (14), Emory Jacob (13), and Isabella (8). She always carved time during family gatherings to check on them and listen to them no matter the topic.
She was the eldest of the two children in Emory and Cindy’s household. Erica and her brother, Emory David (38), grew up together as missionary kids, traveling across the country and sometimes around the world to be part of their parents’ ministry.
Erica valued her friends and was always there when they needed her, regardless of the circumstances. She had a heart for others!
She was a fashionista who was always particular about her style, especially her jewelry, and loved anything pink. She can be credited with passing the love of fashion to Emory David.
Most importantly, Erica was an optimist; regardless of what life threw her way, she always wanted something better. With her faith in God, she always worked hard toward that goal of remaining optimistic whatever life brought her. She embodied the saying, “Fall down 9 times…Get up 10”. Erica was preceded in death by her grandparents Emory M. Dively, E. Peter Garwood, and Shirley H.Garwood.
Service is being held for Erica on Saturday, December 9th, 2023, at Pleasant View Deaf Assembly of God, 7901 Pleasant View Drive, Spring Lake Park, MN 55432. Visitation will be held at 10 am, followed by a service at 11 am and a luncheon after service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a memorial donation be made to Emory and Cindy Dively for Erica’s son, Josiah’s future needs.
