Obituary of Kevin Francis Sullivan
Kevo Levo, we’ll miss you. Say hi to Mom and Dad, Renie, and all the other aunts, uncles, and cousins waiting for you. You were a big bundle of sharp Irish wit and a generous serving of blarney. Maybe a little rough around the edges, but your love and care for Dad and Renie as their health failed showed your caring heart. We’re sure you’re already in the heavenly NASCAR pit, combining your love of machines and racing. Or maybe you’re up to your elbows helping Scotty on the Enterprise, getting those warp drives back online just in time to save the day. You were the baby in the family. Who would have thought you’d take this journey first? That cancer had other ideas, and despite all the hopes, prayers, and love of those around you, it won out.
Kevin Francis Sullivan—(Sully), 61, of Richfield, MN, died in Minneapolis, MN on 11/18/2023. Kevin was born in Minneapolis in 1962 to Lou and Lois Sullivan, the youngest of seven siblings.
Kevin loved warm weather. His degree in Aerospace Aviation Maintenance Technology brought him to Hawaii and California, evading the brutal winters of Minnesota for most of his life. Racing dune buggies and ocean fishing always sounded better to him than shoveling snow. Who can blame him?
Kevin was preceded in death by Lois Sullivan, Lou Sullivan, and Renie Sullivan. He is survived by siblings Patrick (Kathy Pfleghaar), Barry (Janet), Julie Packer (Richard), Elizabeth Nichols (Mark), Mary Rueckert (Richard), Susan; Aunt Mary Alice Litten, Uncle Jack DeGonda (Judith), and many special nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Avenue South, Edina, MN 55435, on Tuesday, December 12th, 5-8 pm. In place of flowers, please send donations to Lutheran Social Services Refugee Services, Catholic Charities Twin Cities, or the charity of your choice.
A beautiful, stubborn Irishman. The pain is over. Rest in peace, dear brother.
