Obituary of Keith Ackert
Keith E. Ackert, 76, died on November 7, 2023 at New Perspectives Senior Living in Eagan, Minnesota. Prior to that he raised his family in Inver Grove Heights.
Keith grew up on the East Side of Saint Paul, and his memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 30 at 2:00 p.m. (visitation at 1:00 p.m.) at Arlington Hills Lutheran Church in Saint Paul. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Minnesota Boychoir (Landmark Center, 75 West 5th Street, Suite 411, St. Paul, MN 55102) and Arlington Hills LutheranChurch (1115 Greenbrier St, St. Paul, MN 55106).
Keith was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Ackert and DeLores (Albright) Ackert and his sister Darlene (Dolly) Ward. He is survived by his children Joe (Amy) Ackert, Katie (Jeremy) Schroeder, and Chris (Kayleah) Ackert; and his grandchildren Noah, Josh and Harmony Ackert and Peter and Julian Schroeder; his loving partner Carol Vissers; his former wife, Diane Ackert; and his sister Karen Gaasland.
Keith owned his own business, KEA Inc, working in the printing industry in the Twin Cities. He was known for being able to solve almost any problem and his ability to make friends wherever he went. He was a wealth of knowledge in the printing world and beyond. He loved sharing information and teaching others. Keith was a proud graduate of Johnson Senior High School in Saint Paul and the University of MN, Twin Cities. Keith loved the outdoors and traveling. Music was important to him. He sang in choirs in school and church throughout his life. He also remembered fondly his time as a member and Captain of the Royal Guard with the Saint Paul Winter Carnival.
He was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
