Obituary of William Mord

William (Bill) Mord, 76, of Elk River, MN passed away in his home Saturday Nov 4^th, 2023.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary. Children, Jon and Kris. Grandchildren, Dominick and Ronan. And twin brother Robert (Bob) Mord (Diane).

Preceded in death by parents Elmer & Ruth Mord, brother Richard, sisters Nita (Stoeckel) and Lisa (Ford)

He will be remembered as a lover of all MN sports, especially the Wild, Twins and Gophers. After 40 years with Centerpoint Energy (Minnegasco) he retired and became an avid woodworker. Expanding his knowledge and skill with every new project.  His contributions to the Knights of Columbus and District 10 Hockey, serving in several capacities over the course of his involvement. He also spent many years honoring the sacrifice of Veterans along with his brother on Memorial Day in Elk River.

Funeral services to be held Saturday Nov 18^th at 12:00 (noon) at St Andrews Church in Elk River. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Diabetes Association or one of the many organizations for disabled Veterans are requested.
