In Loving Memory of Mark Teaver

July 7, 1953 - October 29, 2023

A warm southern drawl has fallen silent. Mark Teaver, a beloved husband, father, and true gentleman, passed away on October 29, 2023, at the age of 70, in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. He was born on July 7, 1953, in LaGrange, Georgia, and throughout his life, he left an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone he met.

Mark, the cherished middle son of the late H. Paul and Jane Teaver, leaves behind a family that loved him dearly. He was not only a loving husband and father but also a devoted brother, and his connection with his siblings ran deep. He is survived by his brothers, Steve (Susie) Teaver and Frank (Sharon) Teaver, and their families. Their bond was a testament to the enduring strength of family ties, and together, they weathered the storms and celebrated the sunny days. Mark's legacy lives on through the close-knit Teaver family, a testament to the enduring power of love and togetherness.

In 1989, Mark married the love of his life, Kim, and their union was a testament to the power of love, commitment, and partnership. Together, they created a warm and loving home, raising their two sons, Andrew and Henry, with boundless love and care. Mark was a devoted husband and father, and his family was the center of his world.

Mark was a graduate of Auburn University, where he earned his degree in electrical engineering. He was a proud Auburn Tiger, and the Auburn spirit ran deep in his veins every Saturday in the Fall.

Mark began his professional career with Westinghouse and later joined Siemens in 1984, where he left an indelible mark on his field. His dedication, knowledge, and hard work were the cornerstones of his success, and his colleagues held him in the highest regard.

Upon retirement, Mark and Kim fulfilled a lifelong dream by settling in their cozy lake home on Lake Harding in Valley, Alabama. There, Mark pursued his passion for woodworking, creating beautiful pieces that showcased his creativity and craftsmanship. He found joy and fulfillment in every project he undertook.

Mark's heart was also devoted to the roar of engines, as he was an avid fan of Nascar. His excitement during race days was contagious.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to your local technical college carpentry and woodworking program, in memory of Mark Teaver, or to a woodworking charity in Mark's honor.

The Teaver family invites friends, family, and loved ones to join them in celebrating Mark's life at a gathering on Sunday, December 3rd, from 2 to 5 PM at the lake cottage, 939 Lee Road, County Road 368, Valley, Alabama.
