Obituary of Gregory Arnold Musolf

Gregory Arnold Musolf, 67, of Cotton, MN, became free of pain the afternoon of November 4, 2023, with his family by his side, after a remarkable battle with cancer. Greg was born in Brainerd, MN, on September 3, 1956.

He was raised in Pequot Lakes, where he met the love of his life, Joy Zousel, and raised their son, Keith, before eventually relocating to Hermantown. Greg worked as a Carman for BNSF until he retired after 42 years, settling along the restful banks of the Whiteface River. Greg was passionate about being outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and roaming the trails in his side-by-side. He was often found with a smirk on his face, as he was always up to some sort of shenanigans. His laughter and humor are among the many things that will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Greg is preceded in death by his parents, Ernie and Violet Musolf, and sister Sandy. He is survived by his wife, Joy Musolf; son, Keith (Molly) Musolf; granddaughter, Amelia; sisters, Cindy Casey and Marcia (Mike) Hurry; as well as his granddog, Sophie.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 2:00 PM with a short service to follow at 3:00 PM at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth, MN.
