Obituary of David Douglas Yunker

Heaven gained a truly good man with the passing of David Yunker, 74, of Plymouth, MN on October 21, 2023.

Dave loved everything outdoors, was a passionate Viking Fan, enjoyed golf, his fantasy football group, and spending time with his family and friends. His favorite thing to do was building memories with his grandchildren, whether swimming with them in the pool, or playing chess, pool or Mexican train (as long as he got the green train). 

Dave was preceded in death by parents Melvin and Ann and siblings Patte McCallum and Ruth Betin. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Sue, children Dane of St. Paul and Stacie (Dean) Ringel of Plymouth and grandchildren Niki and Lucas Ringel and Bennett Yunker through whom his legacy of incredible selflessness and integrity will carry on. 

He lived by example with a loving heart, patience and the ability to really listen to anyone regardless of their age. 

He is also survived by siblings Ed (Yvonne), Dennis (Alice), Ron (Sandie), Connie and Judy as well as a host of loving in-laws, nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of life will be held Saturday December 2 from Noon to 3pm at the Osseo-Maple Grove American Legion, 260 N 4th Ave SE, Osseo, MN 55369 with a light lunch and cash bar.
