Obituary of George M. Hanten
Hanten, George M. Age 90, passed away unexpectedly after a short illness Oct.20 with his family by his side. He is survived his children, Mike (Judy) Hanten, Jodie (Joe) Frenz, and Steve (Lori) Hanten. Grandchildren, Ally (Scott) Hanten Ebert, Kelsey (Lee) Vandal, Jess (Baylor) Radtke, Jenny (Tim) Wilson, Lee Hanten, and Jae Hanten. Great grandchildren; Reid and Reece Ebert, Anzl and Aven Radtke, and Caysen, Cohen, and Calla Vandal, Tate and Tripp Wilson. Sister, Ruth Hanten of Sioux falls, SD. Preceded in death by his wife of Donna, father, John Hanten; mother, Elizabeth Hanten, Brothers Clarence, Joe and John (Verlin) Hanten, sisters Clara Peddycoart, Florence Peddycoart, Louise Zins, Agnes Hullerman, Alice Hanten, Gladys Surprenant, and Helen Reed. George is remembered as great dad who loved to fish and hunt. After his retirement he enjoyed working at his longtime friend Ron Christenson’s auction business. George worked at, was partner in and owned Olson Paint and Body shop for 42 years.
A Celebration of George’s life will be held Saturday, Nov. 4th 11:00 AM to 3 PM at the Medina Entertainment Center 500 Hwy 55 Medina, MN. 55340 Lunch and Beverages will be served.
There will a private service prior for the immediate family at 10.30 AM. Memorials preferred to American Cancer Society or the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
