Marlene was blessed with 17 grandchildren she adored and 14 great-grandchildren she cherished: also many nieces and nephews. Marlene loved the craziness and love that comes with a large family. The louder it was the more she enjoyed it! She had a big voice and an even bigger laugh. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Marlene was a graduate of White Bear Lake High School, class of 1953. Marlene loved sports and helping to work on the family farm in Centerville MN. She loved nature, the changing seasons and bird watching. Loons and hummingbirds where her favorites. Marlene was a dedicated member of St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic church and served as Eucharistic minister, greeter and cleaner for many years. She had many friends, none more beloved than Sue and Tom Heinz. Marlene took care of many children throughout the years and she had a special place in her heart for all of them. Marlene had a welcoming smile and hug for any and all. She always had an upbeat and positive attitude even through her illness. She was gracious and kind. Special thanks to all who helped care for Marlene, especially Sandy and Ann.
