Wallace Jr. was born to Wallace Sr. & Lucille Behr in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was passionate about hockey, ski jumping, golfing and bowling in his younger high school days. He was a drywall contractor by trade for most of his life, always lending a helping hand to his family and friends. He enjoyed deer hunting in Grantsburg, WI and fishing for walleye any chance he could get. Wally was known to many as "Cowboy". He spent many hours of his days enjoying a competitive game of cribbage or poker and is remembered for his infamous 5-2 poker hand.
Wallace is preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard and sister Sharon Ellison.
Survived by children Michelle Schmidt-Tamm (Roger), Michael (Christine Durand), Jamie Coe (Josh), grandchildren
Jacob Schmidt (Felicia), Anna Schmidt, Deegan Coe and Talan Coe, brother Scott (Laurie), sister Janelle (Roy), former spouse Darlene Behr and many nephews, nieces, family and friends.
Wally was a loving, dedicated father, grandfather, brother and friend. His family was the center of his world, and he had such a gift of making everyone feel like family during his incredible 81 years of life. He always had a positive attitude, strength and perseverance even through difficult times. Many will remember him as the kind, caring and funny guy with a wonderful sense of sarcastic humor.
We will always feel his presence in our hearts but will miss him dearly and be grateful for all the many years we had with him.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to Westonka Walleye Program or Shriners Children's.
