Obituary of Winnifred “Winnie” Koslucher
Winnifred "Winnie" (Lind) Koslucher, 75, of Bemidji, Minn., passed away peacefully at home Sunday June 26, 2016.
Winnie was born Dec. 2, 1940, in Hibbing, to Edwin and Anita (Madison) Lind.
She grew up in Hibbing and graduated from Hibbing High School. Winnie was married to her high school sweetheart, Gerald "Jerry" Koslucher, for 56 years. Together they had three children, Julie (Mark) Fairchild of Bemidji, Minn., Jerrilyn Koslucher of Earlham, Iowa, and Paul Koslucher of Boulder City, Nev. While raising their family in Babbitt, Winnie worked at the A&W restaurant they owned. After leaving Babbitt, they lived in Maine, Virginia and International Falls before settling in Bemidji. Winnie enjoyed playing cards, solving puzzles, golfing, bowling, scrap booking, gardening, painting, designing stain glass, and spoiling her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Wilfred and Lauren Lind; brothers-in-law, Gerald Marshall and John Mahoney; nephew, Dean Schubbe; and great nieces, Sarah Maki and Megan Anderson.
Those Winnie leaves behind to cherish her memory are her husband; her children; five grandchildren, Chris (Kristi) Fairchild, Jason (Nichole) Fairchild, Alicia (Nate) Meissner, Jon Richardson, and Sean Richardson; six great-grandchildren Chase and Croix Fairchild, Kolton and Braeden Fairchild, and Drew and Kenley Meissner; her sisters, Audrey Marshall and Shirley (Don) Schubbe; sister-in-law, JoAnne Mahoney; and brothers-in-law, Dale (Beth) Koslucher and Jeffrey Koslucher; and many relatives and close friends.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016 in Blessed Sacrament Parish, Hibbing.
