Obituary of Larry Alan Stanius

Larry Alan Stanius, 61, of Duluth, Minn. passed away on June 28, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Larry was born in Duluth on Feb. 1, 1955 to Donald and Adeline (Carlson). He was a graduate of Duluth East and went on to attend DAVTI, earning a degree in Electronics Technology. Larry spent the majority of his career working for Stringer Business Systems. He was a proud, longtime member of the Duluth Downtown Rotary. Larry was an accomplished hunter, archer and angler and enjoyed spending time at the cabin with his family and friends. Larry was an organ donor. Through his parting gift, 40-60 lives will be saved. He is preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Daniel. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, LuAnn; children Amy (Jordan) Shamblott, Lisa (Randy Shaw) Stanius and Daniel; grandchildren Gabrielle, Lily, Haley and Kylie; siblings Ron (Nancy), Rick (Linda) and Randy (Debbie); as well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends Tony and Peggy Marino. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the Hermantown First Responders and neighbor Josh Toms.
