Obituary of Jon R. Bolander
Jon R. Bolander, 56, passed away peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospice on September 3rd, 2023.
A lifelong Duluth resident, Jon knew the area like the back of his hand, with many a story to tell, music to share, and always made a new friend no matter where he went. After graduating Denfeld High School in 1985, Jon became a man of many hats with a plethora of jobs- some leading to lifelong interests such as his love for boats, and the cranes he had a passion for building during his time with IPS Cranes, a job he truly cherished.
In 2001, Jon married the love of his life, Tracy, and spent his days enjoying life- always full of laughter and jokes. He loved spending time with his family, his dogs, grilling, story telling.
Jon is survived by his Wife Tracy, his three Daughters- Heather (Jimmers), Jamee (Bryce), and Leighellen (Jimmy), his four grandchildren- Kaden, Mason, Kaya and Olivia, his Mother Gayle, his Sister, Barb, and his Brothers, Dave, Don, Bill and many other family members and friends.
Special thanks to Jon’s good friend, Russ, and the management at IPS Cranes.
Jon did not want a service; a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Thanks to all the friends who stayed in touch and the prayers and encouragement they gave him.
