Obituary of Nancy A Christian
Nancy A. (Wotrang) Christian passed away peacefully on Monday, September 4th at the age of 77. She was preceded in death by her father Bill Wotrang, mother Eleanora Wotrang (Moran), sister Jeanne Leininger (Wotrang), and several very good friends.
Nancy is survived by Terry, her husband of 51 years; son Russ (Lynn); grandchildren Hayden (AnnElise), Kaelyn, and Lauren; and great granddaughter Ellie. Also, survived by brothers Jim, Mike, Steve, Pat and their families.
Nancy worked at Rosemount Engineering for more than 30 years, living most of that time on Lake Minnetonka, in Tonka Bay. She enjoyed a hot cup of coffee in the morning, being outdoors loving nature, plant shopping, knitting, collecting rocks from various locations, gardening, and volunteering at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. She was engaged in her church and faith community, including bible studies, prayer groups, and outreach. Nancy enjoyed meeting new people and being in social situations. She loved cookies; both baking them and eating them. She was known by many for her two specialties: chocolate chip and molasses. Cookie Day was legendary. She loved and bragged about her grandchildren with everyone she knew, she put soup in her cheesy potatoes, and always brought fresh dinner rolls to holiday meals.
While certainly sad to have lost her, we are truly grateful she is at peace and know that she had people waiting for her arrival in heaven.
A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, September 17th. Visitation at 2:00 and service to immediately follow. Plymouth Covenant Church, 4300 Vicksburg Lane N, Plymouth, MN.
