Obituary of Betty Jean Morland

Morland, Betty Jean (Tutt) of Saint Paul, born on the farm in Murray County, MN on February 26, 1932 and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 30, 2023 at the age of 91. Betty was loved and cherished by many. She was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, friend to many, U of MN graduate, long time elementary teacher in the Burnsville School District, exchange teacher in England. Preceded in death by parents David H. and Emily B. Tutt, parents in law Robert M. and Thea A. Morland, husband William R. (Bill) Morland, brothers and sisters in law Darrell and Joyce Tutt, David and Goldie Tutt, sister and brother in law Eva and Ernest Hallberg, brother in law Harold (Tang) Wynia, nieces Lindy Lou Lundgren, Judith Nelson, nephew Thomas Tutt, and several dear friends. Survived by children Leslie A. and Jonathan Carlson, Gail E. Morland, Robert W. and Karen Morland, Richard D. Morland and fiancée Bonnie, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, brother and sister in law Roy and Lyla Tutt, sister and brother in law Amy and Gerald Backlund, sister Elsie Wynia, many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Funeral service Tuesday September 19, 2023 at 11 AM at North Heights Lutheran Church, 2701 Rice Street, Roseville, MN 55113. Visitation 1 hour before service at the church. Luncheon to follow service in church fellowship hall. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
